Helping the Environment

Skyline Air Conditioning Services Ltd are committed to protecting the environment in all area's of the company's operations in observance of the Environmental Protection Act 1990. It also seeks the co-operation of Employees and Sub-Contractors to meet this commitment.

In conjunction with the company's statement of Health & safety policy the company will ensure that there will be no risk, as far is reasonably possible in the use, handling, storing, transportation and control of any Substances that are Hazardous to Health and to the Environment.

Skyline in conjunction with auditing environmental policies and practices, will monitor its choice of products and suppliers to minimize negative Environmental effects subject to necessary budget constraints.

The company will define the extent of the duties of this policy and identify the persons responsible for ensuring the company and its employees are working in accordance with the provisions of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and the Control of Pollution (Amendment) Act 1989 relating to the business.

Training, instructions and supervision will be provided by the company as far as reasonably practical and will comply with any special requirements laid down by the Environmental Agency with which the company holds a Certificate of Registration under the Control of Pollution (Amendment) Act 1989.

The company expects each and every employee to take reasonable precautions, exercise due diligence and use specialised equipment provided by the company to comply with the Company's statement of Environmental Policy in accordance with Sections 33 and 34 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990; and to also take all reasonable steps to co-operate with his or her employer in order that all relevant statutory provisions are complied with.

All bona fide sub-contractors will be expected to conduct their work in such a manner as to comply with the Company's Statement of Environment Policy. Site responsibilities of all sub-contractors will be clarified and laid down by the company's management.
